  This place is so lovely!! ....
Sharon and Mark are amazing hosts, very welcoming and attentive.
Upon arriving we were given a little bag with chocolates inside.
Breakfast was excellent, very filling!
Lots of information about various places to explore .
After  returning from our day out, there was a little gift hanging on the door handle!. Such lovely touches!
The room was superb, comfortable bed, great shower.
Upon leaving we were given a treat bag for out journey home! So thoughtful!!
You are both such wonderful people!!
We didn't want to leave!! 😕

  The attention to detail at Melba House is unsurpassed.  Mark and Sharon are so attentive.  Rooms are superb, showers are strong and beds really comfortable.  Breakfast is a treat and Mark has to be the "King of Eggs", no matter how you like them, he'll perfect them.  Some great local advice of where to go, what to see and also what to avoid, was appreciated.  Melba House will not disappoint.

  Mark and Sharon gave us such a warm welcome. Room was very clean and tidy with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for fresh milk everyday. Room refreshed everyday if required. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, Marks poached eggs are the best, nothing was to much trouble.   Torquay is a fantastic town and Melba house makes the stay great. Mark and Sharon run a fantastic B&B. The breakfasts are awesome, a massive spread and cooked to perfection. The house is very clean and in good order and the bed was very comfortable. There is off street parking where you can leave the car
and walk to the restaurants and beach. At night Sharon left a bag of little treats and on departure gave us a food bag for the road. A perfect weekend away

  Excellent stay. Sharon and Mark are fantastic hosts,making you feel at home in luxury. Breakfasts are 7 star and nothing is too much to ask. Little additions like Little chocolate bars are found on your door nightly.  Overall absolutely fantastic.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous

Mark and Sharon make you feel welcome and at home as soon as you walk through the door. They know a lot about the local area, what's on and where's good to eat. Do not be afraid to ask questions-- they are a lovely, open couple who always go the extra mile for their guests, and their enthusiasm is simply irresistible. The room I stayed in was beautiful, spacious and so clean it sparkled. I loved the make-up removal towels they had in the bathroom, along with all the other lovely goodies. The shower pressure is excellent, which is exactly what you need after a day out walking. There's a TV, where you are able to access your own digital streaming accounts if you fancy curling up one night and watching a show. The bed is comfortable, so much so I didn't end staying up to watch television-- I was just too cosy.

When I woke up in the morning, there was a coffee- and tea-making spot in my room, and the cutest little milk jugs in the fridge. Having stayed in a couple of BnB without fridges, I think having one is a real bonus. You always have milk to hand for your morning cuppa, but during the summer months, you can keep your soft drinks and bottles of water cold. But if you're able to hold off, you can have excellent coffee in the breakfast room, along with a delicious, fresh breakfast, whether it is an exotic fruit salad and yoghurt or a freshly-cooked English to order. It's a wonderful way to start the day.

Melba house doesn't simply check all the boxes or the big-ticket items. Yes, my room was clean, incredibly comfortable, and tastefully done. But it's the little things that made it for me. You can tell a lot of care and thought has gone into the detail. And it is all these little things-- the things that you wouldn't notice if they weren't there, but when they are-- it just makes your time there just right.

I would definitely come back for a visit even just to have Mark's eggs again, and Sharon's fruit salad.

Thank you Mark and Sharon for a very enjoyable stay in your lovely home. You are great hosts who can’t do enough for your guests. Our room was spotless and breakfast was excellent! I will never have a fruit dish as good as Sharon’s ‘Melba house’ fruit dish! I loved the surprise hanging on the bedroom doorknob every night when we got home from our evening out! Couldn’t do enough

We were in room 4, front of building looking over park. They even gave us a going home goody bag with water cake, crisps and nibbles. Would definitely stay again if we are down that way.
