A wonderful week at Melba house. Myself and my husband Martyn have just returned from a great weeks stay at Melba house. Mark and Sharon went out of their way to make our stay very relaxing and comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic with large variety of options to chose from. The Melba house breakfast in a bowl was one of our favourites along with Marks poached eggs! The property is extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend Melba house to anyone thinking of visiting Devon. I will certainly visit again in the future.

Five star accommodation We booked this guest house last minute. How lucky were we. Mark and Sharon were so friendly, and welcoming. The room was comfortable, clean, and every detail was thought of. The breakfast was very tasty with a wide range of good quality products. We would definitely go back again.

A lovely, well run guest house 10/10 First of all, a big thank you to Sharon and Mark for making us feel so welcome to their beautifully appointed guest house. Nothing is too much trouble for these hosts. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you feel that they have your every interest at heart The rooms are spotles and lovely, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is superb and the portion sizes are huge . You'll have to forego your diet if you stay here. Thanks once again to Sharon and Mark, if we come to Torbay again, we will certainly come and stay with you once more.

Attention to detail at Melba House The attention to detail at Melba House is unsurpassed. Mark and Sharon are so attentive. Rooms are superb, showers are strong and beds really comfortable. Breakfast is a treat and Mark has to be the "King of Eggs", no matter how you like them, he'll perfect them. Some great local advice of where to go, what to see and also what to avoid, was appreciated. Melba House will not disappoint.

Wonderful Hotel and Hosts The hotel is absolutely spotless and maintained to the very highest standards. The hosts are wonderful people who are so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are amazing - 5 stars

Luxury in Torquay Absolute luxury! Well appointed, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. The hosts, Mark and Sharon, run a great ship, with much attention paid to fine detail. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Breakfasts are top drawer and sumptuous and served in a delightful dining room. Within a short walking distance of the waterfront, Melba House will definitely be my choice when visiting Devon again.

Arguably the best B & B in Torquay. We’ve stayed here twice last year as well as now and we can’t fault it. Mark and Sharon go out of their way to make sure you have a very enjoyable holiday.The food is excellent, the room is cleaned every day you are out and they were always willing to engage in conversation to make it a warm and friendly feeling.

Melba House, an excellent place to stay! We (my husband and myself) had a great time at Melba House in Torquay, Sharon and Mark are really the best hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay enjoyable! We had room 4, a lovely large room overlooking a park, with all amenities. The room and bathroom (shower) was absolutely spotless and complimentary toiletries. They also have a communal terrace with about four tables and chairs and parasols, lovely to sit and enjoy a glass of wine 🍷😊. The breakfast is fantastic, especially the Melba house fruit special, a fry up if you want it, or omelette or salmon etc, poached eggs are wonderful! There is a refrigerator in every room and an ice machine in the dining room (which my husband LOVED) Sharon also put a little goody bag on every door handle each night with some chocolate in it! They also provided everyone with a bag of things for the journey home. All in all a fantastic place to stay, 10 out of 10 and the most friendly and obliging hosts, well done, Sharon and Mark! 😘

Gracious hosts, wonderful visit to Torquay Absolutely first-rate. Sharon and Mark are gracious hosts, who welcomed us warmly. The rooms are immaculate, and they provide extra touches such as nightly chocolates and a going-away snack bag. The location is superb: quiet, and very near the train station (a level walk), Torre Abbey, and the sea. The breakfast is spectacular: full English (with local ingredients, including the most wonderful eggs) and healthy choices such as fruit, yogurt, avocado, and salmon. They have a single room which was also very helpful as I was one of a group of 3. I hope to return one day.

Brilliant stay This was our second vist and Sharon and Mark could not have been more helpful nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was brilliant. They had done more improvements since last year the patio was lovely to sit out on and relax. Room was lovely and our friends room was as well. We would definitely recommend going we will be back .Sharon and Mark go above and beyond.
